Welcome Get Shot By Tate!
Since you MUST know about me...... I'll talk about what kind of photographer I am. I'm the kid who hated traditional crap. I hated the concept of doing wedding photography. I wanted to do high fashion and naked people - and that WAS IT. Fast Forward to ten + years later....... I'm doing weddings, naked people (but it's always tasteful..... or at least I think it is) and I do SOME traditional stuff. I like to think my traditional stuff is twisted. Ok, it's not traditional. Call it what you want to call it, but I don't like the WORD - traditional. My wife does. She's twisted traditional. My work is my work. I don't like rules. It's hard for me to play by the rules when I'm doing photography. I think that's what keeps it so fun for me. I tell the parents of my senior shoots that I dislike cap and gown shots (was I supposed to do that?) but I still do them because I know they love those. ;-) I think you get the drift of what kind of photographer I am. I may think I'm way more radical than I am, but let me think I'm just ubercool and not traditional. Okay?

I am 32 years old and I am a male. I have something that's called a wife. Her name is Sarah and she took my last name. I told her she didn't have to and she was offended that I didn't care about whether or not she took my last name. A few days before our actual wedding day, she told me she decided that she was going to keep her last name and not take mine. I responded with a very large, "WHAT?!? WHY???!" because it caught me off guard. She responded simply, "....so you do WANT me to take it!" Ah, married for six years now, together for 11, feels like 50 years already, but we do have those days where it feels like we just started dating. We have a dog named SoHo (named after the famous shopping area in Manhattan around South Houston) because we lived in New York City for 9 months where we bought him (we didn't even adopt one, we had to CHARGE a dog on our card). We moved back home to Louisiana after five long years in DC then in NY. Two days later, Hurricane Katrina graced its presence to us. For three months, I didn't work much because nobody wanted to spend money. It sucked, but we were grateful we didn't lose our home and any family members. We bought a house two years ago and we love it. We adopted a cat from our local vet (we didn't charge it!) and named it NoLa after New Orleans, Louisiana (which by the way is thriving once again, we love the city). My business has grown so much in the last two years and I pay my taxes. I had to file for an extension last year for taxes because I am not a very organized person, but they have been completed so I am very legal. I don't like organization. It makes me feel traditional.
