Welcome Get Shot By Tate!
Since you MUST know about me...... I'll talk about what kind of photographer I am. I'm the kid who hated traditional crap. I hated the concept of doing wedding photography. I wanted to do high fashion and naked people - and that WAS IT. Fast Forward to ten + years later....... I'm doing weddings, naked people (but it's always tasteful..... or at least I think it is) and I do SOME traditional stuff. I like to think my traditional stuff is twisted. Ok, it's not traditional. Call it what you want to call it, but I don't like the WORD - traditional. My wife does. She's twisted traditional. My work is my work. I don't like rules. It's hard for me to play by the rules when I'm doing photography. I think that's what keeps it so fun for me. I tell the parents of my senior shoots that I dislike cap and gown shots (was I supposed to do that?) but I still do them because I know they love those. ;-) I think you get the drift of what kind of photographer I am. I may think I'm way more radical than I am, but let me think I'm just ubercool and not traditional. Okay?

This past August in the middle of my absolutely insane travels..... I came home to a TON of mail, and THIS tiny envelope was waiting in between 100 magazines. It was from a random deaf artist I knew from my Gallaudet days. We know the "same people" around..... and I just thought it was so sweet!

What, you ask......

THIS!

img011.jpgInside the envelope was this "cards holder" that Shandella makes ~ I'm so flattered she'd make one for me. And I'm even more flattered that the cards holder IS exactly what my personality is, exactly what people who know me would use to describe my outlook onlife... just exactly spot on!

img013.jpgI will always treasure this! It's always on my desk just to remind me life is short. Even though I'm getting more wrapped up in this business aspect of my photography business - I need to always remember WHAT I love about my art, what I want to DO to produce more, and to live life to its fullest!

Thank you Shandella!
