Welcome Get Shot By Tate!
Since you MUST know about me...... I'll talk about what kind of photographer I am. I'm the kid who hated traditional crap. I hated the concept of doing wedding photography. I wanted to do high fashion and naked people - and that WAS IT. Fast Forward to ten + years later....... I'm doing weddings, naked people (but it's always tasteful..... or at least I think it is) and I do SOME traditional stuff. I like to think my traditional stuff is twisted. Ok, it's not traditional. Call it what you want to call it, but I don't like the WORD - traditional. My wife does. She's twisted traditional. My work is my work. I don't like rules. It's hard for me to play by the rules when I'm doing photography. I think that's what keeps it so fun for me. I tell the parents of my senior shoots that I dislike cap and gown shots (was I supposed to do that?) but I still do them because I know they love those. ;-) I think you get the drift of what kind of photographer I am. I may think I'm way more radical than I am, but let me think I'm just ubercool and not traditional. Okay?

It's definitely been tons and tons of kiddos around me these days for photo sessions. I can't believe how much I've gotten to be so comfortable around babies, kids, spit up, and even smelly diapers (well, the diapers - I'm working on...... ) in the last few years. I am actually enjoying all the ups and downs of children sessions - you can't predict their moods, you can't say to smile on the dot and expect a REAL natural smile, some babies have colic, some are just plain NOT in the mood for photos, some are "finished" after 30 minutes of feeling fake.....

All that - it's SO fun! It's like a science experiment and I'm the research dude. I'm the big guy figuring out how to make it "all come together" for some delicious photos for my clients to enjoy.

In no relation to the comments made above - I had so much fun with these two separate sessions with a set of bro/sis - sis/bro. It was cool because these are two separate families,  nobody knows each other, and whatnot but I get to see a similar "love" that the older sibling shows towards his/her new sibling (both were newborns!).

I love my job.

Here's a preview of Nora and her new brother, Carter!

And how here's Lil Clint with his newborn sister, Charli!

Here's a rare shot of me with a client's kid! I actually thought to do it at this moment. I should make a habit of taking a snap of me with all these cool kids I shoot.
Tomorrow, I'm leaving for Jackson/Clinton, Mississippi for the weekend. I have two senior portrait sessions on Saturday along with two more in the afternoon, then one very EARLY session on Sunday morning - then we're zooming back (Sarah (the wife) and Whitney and her two girls are joining me for the ride/stay to the PARKERS!) for me to get back in time for a mama/kiddo session that late afternoon here at home!

My work never seems to end. It's definitely a fortunate place I find myself in - but man, I am SO behind on editing. It's so hard to force myself and I just don't want clients to get half assed edits..... Tomorrow, I am gonna get up EARLY and do some more editing!!!!!! Today was kind of a "wasted" day but not really... just "life errands" plus a fun sushi dinner with Jodi James.

You all have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!
