Welcome Get Shot By Tate!
I am so fortunate to have a job I absolutely love. The world is a mega-huge one, and I have assigned myself the best job in the world which is to shoot photos, share them with you, and repeat the same steps over and over for y'all to enjoy. Anyone who knows me well knows I'm an OPEN BOOK, but when I have that camera in front of my eye - I see everything in a very tiny window. When I determine what I captured is eye candy ready to share, that is when I really OPEN up to you as a photographer/friend. Thank you so much for your support in any way its given!

I met up with Michelle and Richie two weeks ago to do their engagement session at the LSU Rural Museum off of Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. What a nice place to do a photo session...... (minus the fee for photographers to use the place - it was pretty steep!)

I love how we got these captures! The weather was really overcast but that usually works for me because I have more control around the area.

I can't wait till their big day arrives in March - it'll be so wonderful photographing their wedding.

The 3rd Musketeer:

That bored? LOL! This is kickass, tho!

JS:

Do you know the work of Franz Xaver Messerschmidt (1736-1783)? These photos remind me of his most distinctive body of sculpture. I hope that you continue posting more of your creative work here.

Iva:

Was this you watching the ballgame last night? I think we had some of those faces in our living room :)

tatephoto:

No I never saw his work - I will check his stuff out online. Thanks for the tip.

And no, this was in between two sessions of mine last Friday. I was testing out the light in the guest room before I did the second session - hence getting carried away!

Nicole just mailed me a copy of their (Baton Rouge General Hospital) magazine and had a lil surprise for me inside it. When I went to meet up with them to give feedback on the NexTalk service they now have available for the deaf and hard of hearing community (and they used those exact words! no "hearing impaired" stuff). Needless to say - it came out good.

Here are the Davidsons who are rapidly becoming my top client these days! They have hired me    not once, not twice, not thrice.... but FOUR times within a year! They "get" the fact that I am a good deal! You could go to a photographer for professional photos and pay up to 500 plus for prints..... whereas you can come to ME, a professional photographer too, and get the most kick ass photos for a nice little buck AND a CD! ;-) I am nothing but honored to be chosen by the Davidsons to document their lil tyke, Chase, throughout his growing pains. We did their maternity session, then his newborn, then 3 mos old shoot, and now here are his SIX month photos. He is a charming little man and I cannot wait to see how he grows even more (even though his parents probably want him to stay a baby........... I would too!).

Again, to the Davidsons - THANK YOU. Enjoy these for years to come!!!!!!!

GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!

IMG_1417.jpgThis apple toy was for Ashley when she was a baby - and now he's playing with it. Time flies, yes?

IMG_1444 copy.jpgThe photo above is one of my favorites ever captured of a family. It's so haunting but still a gorgeous photograph. I hope I can do this for myself when Sarah and I start a hood!

I did photos of Jessica's brother's family last summer (they came out to Baton Rouge from Lake Charles) and Jessica liked them so much, she contacted me to set up a session for her and her husband, Chad. I AM flattered that people would drive a good distance to get a session done by me - flattered!

We got so many awesome shots of Chad and Jessica! I'm posting my favorites up on here for them and you all to see. They make such a really sweet couple and you can tell in their photos.

Thanks C & J!
